For 2026, we're taking a more considered approach, bringing together around 40 independent exhibitors rather than creating a large-scale market. Each exhibitor is carefully selected to create an interesting mix of makers, artisans and independent brands. The result is a Christmas market that's relaxed, welcoming and easy to enjoy giving you time to browse, discover something new and soak up the festive atmosphere.

With around 40 independent exhibitors, you'll find a varied selection of Christmas gifts, homeware, fashion, accessories, beauty, food and more. When you need a break from shopping, enjoy hot food in Barnsdale Hotel's main restaurant or festive food and drinks in the Courtyard.
A CHRISTMAS MARKET IN THE HEART OF RUTLAND
Set close to Oakham and Rutland Water, Barnsdale Hotel provides a beautiful countryside setting for a festive day out. The market is ideally located for visitors travelling from across Rutland and the surrounding areas, including Stamford, Uppingham, Melton Mowbray, Market Harborough, Peterborough, Leicester, Grantham, Corby and Kettering.

When you’re ready for a break from shopping, The Barnsdale Hotel will be providing food and drink throughout the event. Visitors will be able to enjoy hot food inside the hotel’s main restaurant, as well as a selection of festive food and drinks in the Courtyard; a perfect excuse to stop, warm up, and enjoy the atmosphere before heading back to the market.
